Well it seems those price hikes last year were not to counter rising wholesale prices but more importantly to line the pockets of those at BG.
Makes their 10% cuts in prices laughable, surely bigger cuts on the way.

Half yearly profit's to £299m, that's not that great though as other suppliers were making in excess of a billion for the year?0

Centrica as a group profits were £936M, not bad for a half yearly profit.
When wholesale prices are high Centricas upstream offshore business benefit, when wholesale is low BG and its businesses benefit.0
