Uk Airport Parking - an idea

In Bristol, it is much cheaper to park for free in the city centre and hop onto the airport bus - A family return is £10: parking at the airport ranges from £35 to £77 for a fortnight.
As long as flights leave within bus operating hours, you can get to and from the airport in 20 minutes.
Are there similar services around other regional airports?

Good idea, but where would you park for free in the centre of Bristol? And would your car be there when you got back? I struggle think of many places in the city centre where I could do either.
However, I would do something similar when travelling into London a few years back. I would park for free in the streets around Brent Cross and get the Northern Line into London.

Done this before, i think it was LHR and i went to The Prince Albert Pub had a meal and then they looked after the car (well it was left in their car park for 2 weeks) then i got the 1.50 (i think) but to the airport.
As i had a few drinks, nights accommodation at a hostel, meal and bus tickets it must of cost about 30 pounds at the most. As i am away i cannot refer back to see if it was LHR or LGW or where the hostel was but i do have the details somewhere...0 -
Hi, there is free parking in Bristol along the route of the airport bus. (I could point you to the streets). I suppose I would be a bit nervous leaving a car street parked for a fortnight but that maybe because it is unfamiliar territory, as long as it has been emptied of valuables and possibly immobilised it is not going anywhere. I am a frequent flyer and I park up near the bus without problems.
On the other hand, long-term car parks are a favourite hunting ground for car thieves but there is usually a guard keeping watch, so you take your chances.0
