Rotted wood - external door.Help please

Sorry for yet another post regarding house but I'm having a series of nightmares.
I am finishing off kitchen which was fitted 6 weeks ago.I took the bottom aluminium plate off the bottom of external door to driveway and found that the wood is rotted through.I just cannot afford to get a new door so was wondering if anyone knew how I would go about repairing it if I can?
I planned to apply wood hardener then build it up with wood filler,sand then paint.
Any tips most welcome.Thank you,
