Thursday 30th July - What small DFW things have you done today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
:D
Morning All
Hello to everyone else who posts today. Hugs to those that need them
Wow, can’t believe it s Thursday already!
Today I have/will:
• Checked online banking
• Made lunch :A
• Meals from storecupboards
• Enter comps online
• Have a NSD – I will do this!
• Look on the internet for jobs in the local area
• Work really hard at work – will proberbly do overtime as we are mega busy (and understaffed)
• When I eventually get home look at my CV and jazz it up a bit (obviously not lying though)
• Start writing an interview pack – comments on how I can sell myself, questions to ask etc :j
• While I am on the internet catch up on yesterday’s forum
Think that is about it…..have a great day everyone

4) Check online banking done Payment has been refunded for a free trial thing that I forgot to cancel.:j
5) Daily scratchies done
6) Catch up with the washing – hang outside if it stays dry
7) Do some work on my blogs - try and find some way to make money with them. I have decided to leave this until tomorrow so I can spend time with DS.
8) Sort out work for tomorrow and update diary done

10) Complete some of this weeks writing work

16) Look for new work contracts done There was nothing interesting - might now hold off bidding until I come back from holidays.
17) Do some more ironing - I will catch up on it one day I have decide to l;eave this until tomorrw so that I can spend time with DS

Oh well another busy day for me guess I better get started. I think I will have to admit defeat today there is simply no way I am going to get through everything but I will keep trying (really struggling for motivation today).
I have decided to leave some things until tomorrow as DS (age 5) has fallen off his bike and is screaming the house down in agony. Its a good job I don't mind the sight of blood!I am aiming to be debt free by the time I am 30 (May 2010)0 -

Hello,
Was aiming for another NSD, but have to go in to work to meet boss today instead of tomorrow (was intending to work at home today). BUT my car is in the garage getting some bits fixed (under warranty
) so I will have to get OH to take me to the station at lunchtime so I can get a train in  - I could drive his Landrover in but it is big and scary and does this weird thing where sometimes it won't start until you do something under the bonnet that involves spanners and a lot of swearing . I am sure I could manage the swearing, but am wary of spanners :rotfl:so the train it will have to be!
So, today I have / will:
See to animals and plants (done, nothing will need watering that is for sure  )
Check online banking (done, as expected)
HM meals from stores - I would like to buy some nice potatoes but am using up horrid ones from the garden - Home grown potatoes are usually lovely, but this year I grew strange blue ones and they are horrid  (boo to horrid blue potatoes - I will grow nice white ones as usual next year, and not think ooh, they look pretty at strange ones in the garden centre!)
Work on boring consultancy report this morning
Train in to work this afternoon, and taxi too, if it is still raining cats and dogs!
Well, that's it for today. Have a nice day everyone ... And Candy, if you see this, you are really hard working and motivated and prospective employers are mad if they don't give you a job
I do ace references!! 0 -
