Mate, dealing with a bank or credit card company isn't stress, it's unnecessary hassle.

Stress is being parachuted over Arnham, or being chased by an ME109 over Kent in the summer of 1940.

Seriously, get over it and chalk up one for the good guys. If you want to try for another £25, go for it, but if it really does "stress" you out that much, I'd have thought the opportunity to move on and forget about it would be a welcome one for you.

    Just my tuppence worth....

If a train is canceled it is a hassle if you are going to meet up with some mates but if you are going for a job interview would you look at it so lightly? Some would love to be parachuted - they look forward to it as it gives them an adrenalin rush!

Just a reality check before make making sweeping statements

Stress is having 3 kids! :rotfl:

Sorry, couldn't resist that, will toddle off back to the House price thread again :D
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Without getting too legal, it's not generally the case that a wronged person can claim back all their costs from the wrongdoer. If that were not the case, a minor wrong could lead to a compensation claim out of all proportion to the gravity of the wrong. I think approach reflects what's fair.

Let's say I change lanes on the M25 without indicating. I cause an accident - a few injuries and damage to several vehicles. Should I compensate those affected in full? Yep, probably. It was unlucky a mistake had such serious consequences, but it's pretty obvious that they could have followed.

What about if one of the cars is being driven by Richard Branson. He's fine, but his mobile phone is destroyed. He misses a phone call and loses a deal - at a cost of £5M. Should I pay for that? No, I don't think so. It's just bad luck - I really couldn't have anticipated that particularly consequence - except in a very hypothetical discussion. Sadly for RB, he shouldn't depend so much on a single call!

So in your case, yep you should get something for your calls and time. But if you get some kind of stress attack (or at least it affects you more than it would most others), then really I think that's a bit unique to you and the card company shouldn't be liable for that. It wasn't really forseeable by them in the context of the problem you had.
