Ryanair credit card - charges ??

While captive in a queue at Stansted airport, I agreed to apply for a Ryanair credit card having EXPLICITLY asked the salesperson whether there were any charges .... and being told 'No'

I've now received the credit card ..... and noticed in the small print that 'credit cards issued by Irish banks are subject to stamp duty'

Having done a quick Internet search it seems that this will be about 40 euros.

Anyone able to confirm this ? If so ... it's going back !!!! Cheaper for me to make sure I get the 1 penny flights ............

The Ryanair card is (or at least was ehne I had one a couple of years ago) issued by MBNA in the UK, there is a separate card for Ireland (I know as I accidentally applied for the Irish card initially and they contacted me to say was I sure I'd done it right!)

actually looking at it MBNA issue the UK & Irish Credit Card, contact them if you want to confirm whether you've been issued with the UK one (and kick up a stink if you haven't!)

Thanks for that ..... didn't think that there might be two seperate cards ..... I'm probably OK with the UK one then .... It would be useful if the T's & C's explained that.
