What's the most economical shower

Could any one tell me the most economical shower. A power shower an electric one or a gravity shower.

We are maybe plugging for a electric one but then it got me thinking it will heat water through the unit and in winter the water will be colder so taking more energy to heat up. Where as a gravity shower will allready run on the hot water that is all ready heated up. I'm not sure about a power shower???

We have a gravity shower in the en suite this shower is going to be in the bathroom.

Thanks.

On a conventional shower it would depend how you are originally heating the water. Hot water is cheaper to produce by gas than electricity, so at a guess the cheapest is gas CH. Hard to say which is cheaper out of electric shower or immersion heater, depends on factors such as the insulation of your tank etc.
Only extra cost with a power shower is the cost of running the pump.

    Thanks for that macman,
We heat our water via the gas central heating. Which goes into the water tank in the airing cupboard [Sorry if I;m not making sense plumbing not my strong point]The tank is very well insulated.

I thought it would be the pump in the power shower ie the cost if it breaks down.

Just had a thought .In summer when we don't need to heat a full tank just for a shower electric would be instant i suppose.

Also which is the cheapest to buy/install. By a professional company
