Just went to post my book. Was only a small paperback, and I put in a large letter sized envelope but cost £2.14! Wouldn't fit through the evil little fake letterbox they use, so had to send as a package . Has eaten into my profit quite considerably. It was first class, so I've changed my other listings so will send second class in future (there's an industrial dispute on anyway, so it probably won't arrive for ages). After all costs, I've made £2.11, which is not a huge amount but better than a loss . Will update my signature.

Does anyone have any tips on how I can reduce my postage costs further? I'm new to Amazon, so this is a learning curve! If you want to forward me links to other postings here that'd be much appreciated. I seem to have problems finding things with the search facility on this site.

I have got one of my scratchcards up to the £10 threshold, and the other is at £9, but I think I'll wait until quite near the end of the month to transfer it (then I can earn as much as possible!)

I've sold something for a few pounds, but I'll have to update it tomorrow, coz I haven't posted it yet.

I have put some more stuff on eBay today.

And I am having a car boot sale on Sunday 16th. I have about 150 items, and I'm perfectly happy to get a pound for everything and get rid (even though a lot are worth more than that)

Edit: One of my buy it nows has just sold now as I was typing this! I only listed it 20 mins ago! I feel bad now though, I should have priced it higher!

It's been a bit of a slow start but now have £24 for helping with a friends business accounts and £10 CP voucher. Waiting to withdraw £10 from VO just waiting for points total to update.

Have some more extra accounts work still to do and a car boot planned for bank holiday weekend so not worried yet.

eBay sales have been paid up so £23.97 added to my total. I have my first day off work in ages today and kinda don't know what to do with myself! Might get the last few items onto ebay this afternoon.
