Santander CC Online Banking

So... A couple of months ago i took the plunge and did some card swapping.... great will save me a chunk of cash....
However, i later found out that both (Asda & Abbey) were through Santander... not a problem, but i cant seem to sign up for online banking with either of them!
And because i work for a living and can't easily make calls during the week i can't get through to the cust services cos they're only open 8 til 7. Great...
On both websites it doesn't recognise my card number...
Is it just me?..... am i going mad????:mad:

nope you are not going mad, i thought that too when i tried to get online acccess for my santander zero card. the register log in page seems to be a generic one for different types of accounts, so putting the card number in doesnot work (i couldnt work out for ages when it kept telling my my zero card number didnt exist!

to register for the credit card it tells you this a bit further down:

Register for Online Credit Card
Our Online Credit Card service gives you complete control of your card 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To register, simply call us on 0845 602 0350 with your Abbey credit card details. Lines are open 8am to 9pm, Monday to Saturday.

they give you a customer id over the phone and the rest of the details are apparently sent in the post (say apparently as i am still waiting for that, the advisor told me can take 10-14 days)

If you've used the cards for a BT then you won't have much reason to check online if:
* you setup your minimum payment direct debit during your activation call
* you requested your balance transfer during your activation call
* you confirmed the exact date that your promotional offer ends during your activation call

I use online banking every other day, but almost never for any of my BT cards.

Saving the interest is the most important part

Yes, unfortunately you have to call them to set up online access to your account and they apparently then send you a password throught the post.

Rather long-winded process to start with, but hubby has been calling every day for a week now and been told each time the system was down and they couldn't register his request for a password!!!
