Company wont honour warranty

Hi i bought my Dad an LCD TV from Dabs and it had a three year warranty but you had to register the product with the manufacturers Digimate, which I did. I believed the product to be under warranty until December 2009, however the unit broke at the weekend and I contacted Digimate. I was told that they have no record of the product being registered and that they no longer honour the 3 year warranty and are free at any time to change the terms and conditions. I have since subsequently found out that the people I was speaking to were Repairtech, who since October 2009 have been doing the warranty and repairs for Digimate. I have tried to contact Digimate themselves however the number simply rings off. Can Digimate/repairtech do this to the warranty and what can i do to make them accountable. I am lucky enough to have taken a screen print of the registration as my password and username are no longer recognised by the Digimate website.
