just got an email from confused.com and it said at the bottom click here for a free eaga shower smart
heres the link http://www.confused.com/showersmart?MediaCode=399
some of the details~

Free eaga ShowerSmart
Would you like to (a) cut your carbon emissions, (b) reduce your water consumption, and (c) save money to boot? Oh, and (d) achieve all three without having to open your wallet? Well, you totally can by installing an eaga ShowerSmart. And you can get one entirely free through Confused.com.
So what is a eaga ShowerSmart?
It’s a device you connect to non-electric showers which regulates the water pressure. It’s suitable for use with non-electric mixer showers or bath/shower mixer taps, provided they run off the mains water pressure. And did we mention you can get one for free?.
What can it do for me?
It can save a household of two £20* on metered water bills and a further £20* on fuel in a year – or £600** over the life of the ShowerSmart. Plus it saves enough water over a year to make a nice mug of tea for the entire population of Liechtenstein. So how could you not want one? Apply for free by using the big green button
unfortunatly ours is an electric shower or i'd be getting one:rolleyes:

I have had this offer and was not sure if it was for real or not.

The eaga ShowerSmart fits easily to your existing shower unit and ensures a constant flow of 7.7 litres per minute, giving a full even jet and reducing fluctuation in the speed of the water flow.
The eaga ShowerSmart is suitable for use with non-electric mixer showers or bath/shower mixer taps, provided they run off the mains water pressure.
We got one a couple of months ago, seems to act bit like an aerator does on a tap.

This is quite cunning from Compare, because they are free anyway from the above link http://www.shower-smart.co.uk"If a man says something, but there is no woman to hear him, is he still wrong?"0

They rung me up to offer me it. Sent out within a couple of weeks. No good for me though with electric shower but will hang on to it.0

I was approached at our local county show by someone sending these out for free. The "salesman" implied it would work on different types of shower. After I was sent one of these, hubby fitted it to our shower. It stopped the water flow to almost a dribble and was immidiately removed. We possibly were using it on the wrong sort of shower - this is one which is integral with the taps, not electric. However we normally have pretty good water pressure. Its currently sitting in the garage, though we are not sure if it will ever get used!0
