Rear wing and spoiler

Are they the same thing on a car? Can a spoiler be referred to as just rear wing or would that be the boot cover/ trunk door?

    A spoiler is not the same as a rear wing.

    Typically air would not flow under a spolier but it would flow under a wing.

    The rear wing would be the rear panel that goes over the rear wheel - if you see what I mean.... The boot is the boot or hatchback and the spoiler 'sits' on the 'boot' or off rear of roof ....... Hopefully that may help, or not.. :o
