Hi,
I have a Barclay platinum credit card. Recently, I had used it at a local shop to buy something. I paid the amount by Barclay credit card and after i entered the pin to confirm the transaction did the person at till noticed he ran out of the paper to produce a receipt. The lady went back and put the paper on and asked me to enter the pin again....i was confused and ask her do it need to enter the pin SECOND time....she confirmed me verbally that previous transaction was cancelled.
Today when i checked my bank statements, I have noticed that i'd been charged twice which is totally unfair. I called up the local shop and made them aware of this, shop keeper advised me to turnup with my receipt and my statement (which is only be issued 29 days later as i just received one for this month).....I was so much so frustrated and irritated......
I just called my barclay card company and disputed one of the transactions and told them that i been charged twice which should only have been ONCE.
barclays since then have refunded me my money....but i just wanted to make sure that everything is fine with what i had done....
can please someone advice?
thanks,
Baldude.

If you have had one transaction back then yes everything is fine.
If the shop also refund you then you need to pay them back.0 -
