I have Windows XP2 recently upgraded from my original XP1 with everything working on it.
What updated images thing do I need to have installed to have all the characters on this site working?
I can see them but they do not move animatedly.

Could be many many different things causing this but try a google search along the lines of 'animated gifs not working' and see if that provides any answers
ivanI don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!0 -
You should check the settings on your firewall to allow animated images to be seen.Torgwen..........

Make sure you have got the latest flash http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash
Make sure Java is upto date http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp
And also go into Internet Explorer, Tools, Internet Options, Advanced Tab and click restore defaults then OK, also give the cace a clean,.
Clearing the cache
Or try https://www.ccleaner.com that does the same as clearing the cache but better, when installing untick install yahoo toolbar this also applies to flash.0 -

The OP wants the animated gifs to work. Nothing to do with Flash or Java.
Tools>Internet Options>Advanced>Multimedia
The opposite of this ?0 -

Yeah I know but if you read his post properly yopu would of noticed that he has only just downloaded XPSP2 so what elese is missing, giving more info than he actually needs or wants is a good idea.
And I also hopefully gave him the answer aswell so I covered all bases.0 -

I remember someone having this problem which needed a firewall setting altered but it might be as irnbru says, a simple matter of altering one setting.Torgwen.....................

This is poppycock.
The OP has the sense to take what is and what isnt needed.0 -
Sorry to butt in, but I was having the same problem after I installed ZoneAlarm. I altered a setting and that fixed it for me! now I can see this!0

The above as IrnBru described did solve my problem.
It was a simple thing as I suspected.
Having tried firewalls in the past starting from Windows95, I had become increasingly distrustful of them and rely on Windows default firewall which does an excellent job judging by my experience when I failed to firewall protect my new broadband connection on servicepack one.
IrnBru,
know of any sites that offer tips of the day as in one a day by email?I have just subscribed to Wugnet's EZ Computing that offers it weekly.
Electron,
Thanks for your response. Unfortunately Irnbru's answer was the best and got my images working.
Here's a question I now would like answered if that is possible.
I placed it in the Techie section to no responses.
I use Microsoft Word 2000 for updating my website with files and folders.
I am heavily dependant on it because of time factors and cos I have mastered it.
I am not able to use my web preview button to preview pages onto a web browser. Instead i have to save it and then go to my saved location to view my stuff.
What do I need to install or alter in order to get my Web Page Preview function working in Word 2000?
I have tried upgrading to OfficeXP but OfficeXP and Office2000 are different to me.
