Hear hear!! My boy is 2 now, and he is the funniest, cutest, stubbornest, greediest dog I have ever had. I`ve had a few breeds and now I wouldn`t have another. His vet thinks he is half human, all Bassett`s probably are! I let him on the couch, the bed, he gets away with things that none of my other dogs have. He`s hilarious, he`s annoying, he does NOTHING he`s told, he has a huge personality and when he tucks his head into the crook of my neck, I just melt..... all Bassett owners will know I mean. Well, all humans who are owned by Bassetts should I say.

Our darling Georgie is now coming up to one year old.

Things have much improved, he will now scratch at the back door to go out to go to toilet.

He is still an absolute joy to walk, he will virtually walk at my heel off lead when I call him and at other times is rolling in leaves. The best bit of my day is when I walk him for an hour at lunch. However if he sees another dog he is off like a shot and will not obey any command I give him. This is fine if it is a nice dog but I have had a few bad encounters with Staffies which the owner has quite rightly kept on a lead.

Bad points- will still chew anything within sight-

Worse loss- my D&G glasses and my Mario Cart Wii game.

Beautiful breed and my Georgie is a very fine specimen however would never consider getting another one, even though I love him dearly.
