EON Online 5 doesn't exist
[FONT="]I've spent a long time today entering precise figures (from my bill records) into price comparison websites recommended by MSE, and most seem to recommend I will save about £140 a year by switching to EON's Online 5 tariff. So I phoned EON to do this, and was told that Online 5 didn’t exist. They were at a loss to think where Uswitch etc had dreamt up this tariff from. It certainly isn't on the EON website... Somebody is badly misleading me here... any ideas who?

Hi Hogweed,
We did have a tariff available quite a while ago call EnergyOnline Extra Saver version 5.
However this has not been available to customers since 21 August 2008. So this should not be offered via uswitch or any broker site.
I have just had a quick look on uswitch and couldn’t find this tariff anywhere, I guess to find it we would need the details you put into the comparison fields.
It may be worth contacting uswitch regarding this, as it sounds like it is their records that require amendments. Let me know how you get on, or give me a shout if you’ve any questions.

No, it's my fault - it's an EDF tariff. Not wishing to do business with EDF again, after my last experience with them, I think I unconsciously looked at EON :embarasse
What a plonker...0 -
Hi - I have been researching switching again today- there is an EDF online tariff version 5 which appears to be a limited offer? Could it be that one?0
