The only one on the blacklist that Brits are likely to have flown with is Phuket Air, and a quick search will reveal they have questionable safety standards. As a general rule, I will not fly third-world airlines, and Chinese airlines. Air India and Pakistan International have also had a few incidents over the past year, nothing too serious, but enough to make me suspect they have shoddy maintenance practices.

One airline that has managed to redeem itself is Aeroflot, I wouldn't feel uncomfortable boarding them nowadays.

In the U.K, I avoid RyanAir - nothing to do with them being low-cost, but more to do with dubious management practices. I'd rather walk.
