Credit Card for bad credit score

My credit score is pretty dire to be honest but we are hoping for a holiday in america next year and need a credit card to hire a car.Any companies you can get one from? I'm not too bothered about the apr on it as tbh we wouldn't actually be using it

Vanquis and capital one are the only ones I know of,

There is also Aqua.

I am led to believe that Capital One are now being more stringent with their internal scoring so you may wish to try the other 2 first.

Also, have you approached your bank for one?

Their initial limits, maybe as low as £ 200, might not cover the deposit for a car hire.
