Help! No CI Module error message on LG TV

I am watching via an aeriel on my roof - all sides receiving fine. Just tried to play GOLD (Ab Fab) and I have mpeg in the TV indicator (the others have DTV) and the random screensaver with the above error message - I am sure I have watched GOLD ok during the day. Just downgraded from sky as my box died.

Have I accidentally pressed something I just want to watch a basic freeview channel as my elderly mum is a big Joanna Lumley fan but never seen her in ab fab so any help tonight would be greatly appreciated.

UKTV Gold is not available unscrambled on Freeview - it's one of the Topup TV pay channels. Your TV is telling you that you don't have a Common Interface Module installed, which you would need for a Topup TV card to unscramble it.

You may have seen it unscrambled in the past - a couple of years ago they seemed to accidentally turn off the encryption for a short while, but that didn't last long.

Really appreciate this fwor thanks. I had sky but they messed me about and I got the TV with freeview recently. I used it with my sky box and gave 1 months notice, and within that month my sky box has broken so I connected the TV to the standard roof aeriel, so I must have been watching it previously on sky. Thanks though as I wasn't sure if I'd pressed a random button!

Is there a list somewhere of what channels are available on Freeview?

Plenty of channels or at least looks like it - most are repeats of one another and totally drained of entertainment. :mad:

LOL Thanks oneaday. I get more entertainment not being on the phone to sky for hours every month

AbFab is on Top Up TV in the TV Favourites package, but only on subscription-might be cheaper just to buy her a DVD box set.
