Where do I stand?

Mid June I asked for voluntary redundancy. It hadn't been offered but 6 people had been made redundant since December so I thought it was worth a go. My U.S. boss was positive about the chat, and said that they would consider it.
I then heard three days later through my UK boss that redundancy was not an issue for me as they would have to replace me (workload too big to restructure) and therefore the role would still exist.

OK I thought, I waited a week and handed my notice in. I wanted to leave anyway so not getting a redundancy package isn't so bad.

Fast forward to last week. My whole team is being made redundant on Sept 30th (my leaving date is Sept 18th).
Now I am pretty fed up, because I won't get a penny, and have had to work 3 months notice, but the rest of the team get a payout. I know it sucks for everybody because they don't want to leave like I do, and they won't have somewhere else to go to like me, but I am a bit miffed that I actually requested it, and got told no. And to top it off they have now "unofficially" asked if I would stay on to the 30th and they would "make it worth my while". No mention of figures, in fact I am not even "Officially" aware of the request yet. It has come through my UK boss via the grapevine so to speak.

Where do I stand. Is it my own stupid fault for jumping ship too early, or can I make an official complaint on the grounds that I only handed my notice in because they told me no to redundancy only a month ago?

    No grounds for complaint, sorry - you voluntarily resigned. You can not claim that you resigned because they refused redundancy.

    Your best bet is to listen to what they offer for you staying on until the 30th.
    Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac ;)
