Tayus - I've had one of these last year and this. I don't remember anything about a code. Perhaps a phone call/e-mail to the website or to a local branch of the Halifax to clarify matters could be the answer?0

The code allowed you a credit of (?)£10 or so to a Halifax Current acct if you applied to open one at the same time - since a non-Halifax customer would have to have one of their current accounts for the monthly DD and the linked Websaver. The code may still be on their Home Page or similar.
What amused me was being told at the end of the online application process that I would have to wait up to 14 days to hear from them. As an existing customer I thought that was a bit bizarre. No acknowledgement online or by other means in the week since I applied! Still it's worth it if it works out ok.
Edited - Wed am - current acct now showing initial transfer and DD all actioned on the 18th. Regular Saver now available on my Portfolio.0
