Why did the boy run off? My sister just phoned and I missed it (GRR!)

I think they told him it was tomatoes for tea.

Where can you buy artichokes like the ones Austin Allegro used in the macaroni?
SIMPLE SIMON - Met a pie man going to the fair. Said Simple Simon to the pie man, "What have you got there?" Said the pie man unto Simon, "Pies, you simpleton!"

Exactly! Oooh, no we have to cook a 3 course meal - what will we use from our full to bursting cupboards and fridge???

They scare me too! I bought some prawn crackers from a chinese shop (they're coloured and everything!) but doubt i'll use them as don't have or want a fryer and am terrified of risking heating oil in a wok.

I'm assuming this probably won't work but worth trying if they are going to go waste otherwise- when I cook poppadoms, I buy the dried 'raw' ones from Asian shop and then microwave them for about 30 secs a side. You can brush them with oil if you want for the true takeaway flavour but I do without so healthy.

I'm just wondering if the same system would work with prawn cracker discs or not?

If I saved that amount of money I would be gutted if the prize was my in-laws...
