    no, it's where you make a base ingredient (ie cooked mince) and then divide it into different meals (chille, bolognese, cottage pie)

  • tbh my folks spend that sort of money and i haven;t got a hope of cutting that down, but hubby and i managed on a lot less and ok i buy basic's and try as much as possible to cook our own meals,

    hmm hotdog hotpot, looks interesting think i'd try lidl's bratwurst tho

    My dad's growing chilli's, he offered me a plant the other day but I think i'd kill it.

    This is just winding me up really as it just shows how some people are. How on earth can you get to their age (the parents I mean :p) and not know how to do some of these things?

    a friend of mine received cookery lessons from me as her mum thinks that cooking a nice family meal was getting the ready stuff from m&s!!!

    Me too. Also the refusal of any meal cooked by my parents would have resulted in instantaneous death. :rolleyes:
