Ok, think I understand, thanks! Can ask him to send it back via a trackable method (is recorded delivery ok??) stating that return postage is down to him.
My husband sent buyer a messsage last night saying that he had checked it was working before sending, and maybe he hadnt charged it up correctly, thought he should try and be helpful just incase he simply was doing something wrong and thus show it did actually work!! Buyer sent me another message this morning stating that he had charged it correctly, has now bought another model from a different seller and compared the two, ours apparently doesnt hold its charge and the 2nd unit works just fine. Is there anyway to find out what he has bidded on and bought?
what should I do next, just ask him to send it back and then refund?
Thanks again

Don't specify a method, just tell him to send it back. Its up to him how he sends it.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

I rec'ed an email from the buyer stating the flaw and my reply to him was that, due to my knowledge of this product he could return it for a full refund and P&P costs to return or hold on to the item and I would give a partial refund.
I must have had the nicest buyer on ebay as he didn't want either and was happy to fix it himself. Just shows you do get honest buyers out there:beer:.
I think this is great example of how good customer service can sort these problems out. Your buyer just wanted to check you were not a rip off merchant and your prompt reply offering to sort it out was all he wanted to hear. Well done you.0
