Just bought electric blanket with Nectar points. They wouldn't give me change though as point are redeemed at £2.50 increments and ended up having to make do with a £1.01p gift card so will put this towards my next Argos purchase.

    Thanks again!
  • Excellent post - just reserved a new rug for my living room!

I managed to get a Sony Gigajuke HDD stereo for £180 instead of £295 last Friday and would highly recommend it if anyone can still find one. Excellent system with great features and all, but I was really impressed by the sound, way better than expected. Kinda feel like it's wasted in the bedroom!
Only problem was that I plugged my USB hard drive into it to copy 60gb of music over in one go and it didn't like that. I'd recommend using a 4 or 8gb stick and do it in bits. And it's slow. But you only have to do it once.

Thanks ,just got some blinds for the new house and a coat hanger :)
  • Just another word of caution.

The item I bought, advertised on e-bay as BRAND NEW by Argos was very obviously a customer return.

This leaves you with the thought, 'WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT' ?

As it was a complex electronic item I may never know, it seems to work OK, but there will always be that doubt at the back of my mind.

So, if Argos want to sell on e-bay, they should follow the rules and only advertise as BRAND NEW, items that are in the manufacturers SEALED boxes and in pristine condition.

No excuses for mistakes or volume of items they are selling, don't say it's BRAND NEW, if it is NOT.

It's worth checking the argos clearance from time to time - I went back on it yesterday and found lots of new items listed
