Just to add my voice in on that - this is definetly not the original Championship Manager. If you played Championship Manager then the game you will recognise is now Football Manager. In 2004 the naming rights were sold to a new company but the database and technical structure was retained and rebranded Football Manager.

Championship Manager is now a totally new game built by a totally new company and is far far inferior. I buy a Mercedes badge and stick it on the push bike I just built. It is not a Mercedes. The game you know and love ended with CM4 and became FM05/06. Go buy FM2010 when it is released later this year or FM09 from the season just gone - you will not be disappointed.

I emailed Eidos and there is response was the game needs Internet Activation to ensure that each download is only installed on one computer, so if you're planning to download it one on PC and install it on a second PC without an Internet connection, then you'll just waste £2.51 if you pre-order it.

I urge you all to download and play the demo before buying.....it is awful.

I will be buying Football Manager from SIGames not the trash that Eidos try and fob us off with! Trust me, it's not worth 1p!!!

Watch out anyone who tried to buy this and received an error message after purchasing the download link.

I had this error occur three times before i was able to proceed right through to get a confirmation email and i checked my Credit Card this morning and i've been charged three times!!!

Ive tried emailing for a refund but nothing so far.

I got to the first stage of signup and it errored, so I have absolutely no details about my order, I thought nothing of it until I saw the £2.51 has been billed to my card this morning!

If you want to get a truly free football PC game check out footballsuperstars.com - Ive been playing it for a few weeks now - its pretty good and costs nothing

Guys be careful here.

Firstly, as already mentioned, it is not the same company that produced the good CM games (that is the Football manager team) as there was a split a few years ago.

Secondly the 'game' they have produced is awful. Look at, and download, the demo to confirm that. This is about the 3rd attempt BGS have had and each one has been terrible.
