I applied at the begining of february and it is only just sorted out now, orginally it took them four months to sort, then my circumstances changed so too them another two months. I know other people that have applied in feb and have either only just had it sorted out or who are still waiting.

Hi again, I'll go have a look now, but what if I don't have a sponsor or partner?

if you live alone you will be considered as independant (or with kids)

i had a right fandangle with SF. i did the online application for myself fine, but when my sponsor tried to set up an account for income assessment it went really odd and wouldn't let them sign on. after phoning up about it causing much confusion we sent it in paper form.

after 8 weeks i got a letter back approving me for the basic tuition fee and maintenance loans, but a claim that no sponsor details have been sent therefore i could not be assessed for the additional support. i tried phoning and heard a recorded message basically saying they're not taking any calls because they're too busy.

i've sent a letter back with the signed form asking them to source my sponsors application, but the address was in scotland which is the other end of the country to where the sponsor details were sent?! i really hope this isn't going to turn out like the ALG fiasco i had last year, i'm moving away from home soon, i can't afford for it to be delayed :(

Took me ages to get the 100% grant, I got married then they gave it to me but before then even though I own a home with my now husband they still wouldn't give it to me until I was either married/had a baby/or was over the age of 25...
