    Hiya, I would move your dial to Easy Care @ 40 deg. Reduse your spin speed too.
    If winter comes, can spring be far behind?

    If you put stuff in a pillowcase - fasten the top so it can't fall out.

    Safety pin - rubber band etc.

    Make sure you only use non biological washing powder and air dry instead of tumble drying.

    Some garments seem more prone to it than others. I've had some cycling tops that have done what you describe very quickly whereas others are fine for years. Generally cheaper ones wear out first but that certainly isn't a hard and fast rule...perhaps because it depends who makes the fabric not who makes it into the end garment.

    the reason your not suppose to use fabric condtioner is because it rots some types of plastic,and polliester is related to plastic.

    Could you get one of those bra bags? The ones which are netted? I got a set of them for a pound in poundland and they zip up, so might be worth it?
