Poor credit limit with new card (for BT purposes)

I recently applied for Barclaycard Platinum wanting to transfer £3500 but only received £1100 credit limit. Martin mentions a chart in his balance transfer article detailing which cards give the best credit limits but I cant find it. At the risk of going crosseyed can anyone point me in the right direction!!
Plus any other advice gratefully received, I have phoned Barclaycard but was only promised a revue of my credit limit in 3 mths time

Where does he mention it? Could you qoute? The only source I know is Poll: who gives the best limits?

It's obviously, as always, related to your credit file, as I was given £3500.

OK, if you go from 'watch out for the tricks' then select 'what if you dont...', then select rule 2 the second line mentions a table, the link then takes you back to the 'Best Balance Transfers' article but within that I cant find the table.
But thanks for the other link mentioned which seems to conclude that Egg and MBNA possibly give the best credit limits
