Hi My husband was made redundant at 61 he has taken his private pension of 75 pounds per week can he claim jsa contribution based
I am 61 and receive state pension of 106 pounds per week.
What savings are you allowed to have ans receive jsa ???

It's probably best that he simply applies and see what they say.
As I understand it, contribution based JSA is not tested against income and savings - but it could be reduced if he gets a pension.

Alas, contribution based JSA is reduced pound for pound by the amount an occupational pension exceeds £50 per week, so if your husband's pension is £75 per week (gross?), he's going to lose £25 per week from any JSA due. He'll lose even more if the £75 figure is the net amount received after tax.0
