update on the student accounts 2009/2010?

Options
i'm off to med school next year and am eagerly awaiting the top student accounts guide 2009/2010 update so i can apply away.

the only problem is it still hasn't been updated! the message at the top of the 2008/2009 page states, as of the 21st of may 2009, that the guide is being updated, but that was two months ago!

i appreciate that it takes time to make the guide, but does anyone know roughly when it will be finished? cheers boss :D!

I reckon about a month, there aren't many big adverts for student accounts at the moment.

Most have started their student accounts though so you could just look yourself?
  • yeah well admittedley i've almost made a decision already and i read a really good article on it in the independent on sunday, but i value the advice of this website because they have a habit of finding stuff in the smallprint which i would misinterpret or otherwise miss :)
  • Hi,

We are compiling the Student Accounts guide for 2009/10 at the moment, and it will be ready in the next couple of weeks.

    I hope that helps,

I assume Halifax won't be at the top of the list? ;)

Just look on their web sites, it's the same old suspects each year...

Halifax: http://www.halifax.co.uk/bankaccounts/studentcurrentaccount.asp - overdraft of up to £3000 (but that amount's not guaranteed, it's a relatively small number of people who get that in their first year) and good internet banking.
    Natwest: http://www.natwest.com/personal/students.ashx - give you a free five-year railcard
  • The new guide will be published in this week's Moneysaving email
