USB Memory Stick Problems...

Well, I recently purchased a 1GB flash memory, and for some reason, now refuses to be read at all. I have no idea what's going on. I have tried to kill the disk and format the disk with all zero entries, and is not working. I keep getting the error that the drive can not be formatted when I try to format the drive, and well, I am getting fed up! Any ideas?

Er um is their a little locking latch on the side that write protects it ? :think:

Check the side of the USB Flash Drive for a little switch which puts it into read-only mode. If you don't have one, and you can't format it, then you may have a warranty claim...

it is cream crackered then. i had the same problem with one of mine.

it happens because it is not ejected from the pc before it is removed. the pc then thinks it is still in use and you cannot do anything with it.

sorry to give the bad news. they are cheap enough now anyway.
