Hi recently bought a samsung VP-D230. That only takes a sony memory stick (NOT a pro or duo) only thing is I can find is 256mb.Does anyone know if they do them higher, or did they just move on to pro/duo? How long a film would a 256 mb hold?

Isn't that primarily a DV tape player/recorder? The 256 MB Memory Stick won't be up to anything much. Plus the recording may be time limited to a few seconds. Stick with tapes. It's all in the manual.0
