Does anyone know know how to record a Skype call to an audio format such as .wav or .mp3 ? I want to record both sides of the call and save it to the PC.
Light blue touchpaper and stand well back !

Just a thought, legally don't you have to inform the other person that you are recording the conversation.

You mean I may have to say something like this? - " This call is being recorded for 'training purposes' which means if we get into a dispute with you and we are right, we'll have a recording to prove it. But if you are right we will deny we have a recording!"
Actually I think you are right. I remember years back you had to have a 'bleep' on the line every 15 seconds or so if you were recording. (According to the manual on a Panasonic answering machine in the early 80's).
Normally I wouldn't care about legalities with this but I am actually hoping to record something may may have legal implications later so I want to stay within the law. Saying that, the call I want to make is to another country, so, I'll have to look into their restrictions on recording call too. Oooh ! it does get complicated when you have an idea doesn't it?

Just use Audacity http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ as it can record straight
from the PCs soundcard or Microphone.

Actually, he's wrong. Anyone can record a telephone call it is only if you wish to make the contents of the call available to a third party you would need their conscent. However, you can transcribe the content of the call and make that readily available. If this were to be taken to a court of law you would need to provide the transcription and seek a judge's permission to play the call if the other party objected to it being played. But the transcription is seen as your personal notes.

It could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.
