Anyway of getting my cash back?

Hello

I brought a IPod nano and paid via Paypal (thinking it was safe!)

IPod never came and my emails and pm's were ignored so i opened a dispute which Paypal granted in my favour but as there is no funds in the seller account i cant have any money back

Is there anyway of getting the cash back? Also when i look on the paypal transaction page it has not got the sellers address on there either.

I brought this item thru a forum not thru EBay.

Thank you for any advice.

small claims court if you can get the details. :)

    Buyer beware ey?

Also if you can't get their details a PM to a mod of that forum explaining what's happened might help, they can tell you their IP address which will narrow it down. Have you got the sellers full name?

Thank you Xaviera. I have their full name, email address and town name in Wales. I have also found them on Facebook too. It is only for £35 but i am more angry as it was a present for my 11yr old birthday next week! Which they knew!

If the payment was funded by a credit card it might be worth having a chat with your provider.

There may be a minimum amount for the CC to intervene, but there's no harm asking.
    My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j

Thanks FF - It was a Barclays debit connect card. I have been on the phone to them this morning and they transferred me to another department but was on the phone 20 mins in the queue and got cut off! Am going to try later when phone lines may be quieter. Its worth a shot but i think as it is only a debit card they prob wont reverse it.

Did the payment take you into your overdraft or did it increase your overdraft (ie where you overdrawn when you made the payment)?

If so then the card was a credit token...

Mind you, the purchase would still not be covered by the consumer credit act.

Did you buy & pay for it via Ebay? If so, you should still be covered even if the seller has no funds.

The OP states this was not ebay but via a forum so full paypal protection does not apply.
