Aagh.....Bank Charges

I guys, am fairly sure I know the answer to this but thought I'd check as may have missed something.
I currently have a claim in for charges of over £1400 - put in 18 months ago or so. I've tried to be good with my account and not let it go overdrawn since. However, yesterday I went £1.19 overdrawn (was away and didnt get online to check balance) and today have received a letter saying it's going to cost me £21!! I have another account with Lloyds that had money in it, why didnt they just take the £1.19 from there!! Is there anything I can do or can they just take this £21 next month as they say they will........do I have to go through the whole claiming thing with letters again? It's so frustrating.....
Thanks in advance. x

Not sure how to set up a new thread as am new to site. I have been contacted today by NATWEST collections agency to pay back bank charges on an account that I haven't used for 12 months--it was overdrawn by 39p because of interest charges--they have continued to add £28 each month! The agent would not budge on the ethics etc and told me if I didn't pay £70per month over the next 6 months they would put the account in default and close my STEP account as well which is where all my banking is done---I was devastated by this as I am already struggling and trying to keep my head above water--is there anything I can do?0

Hi - maybe someone more familiar with the forum can move this person (CAM1)'s post to a new thread? Not sure if I can do that?0

You need to get hold of a complete history of the account and the charges. If collections ring again ask them for it so you can verify that the amount is correct before you will agree to anything and put the request for things in writing using the same argument. Not sure how to set up a new thread as am new to site.
