Got a new loaf rising wonderfully in the BM :j though I am just a tad worried as I added an effervescent Vit C tablet to the water and on the first rising the bread is nearly at the top of the tin. Just watching and waiting now!

It's gone very small again...
I assume the machine knocks it down. Have to admit that I don't usually watch the process so have to think that this is normal.
Am trying to mark some exam papers at the same time but keep getting drawn into the kitchen for the bread watch!

Think it's watched kettle... bread is back rising again. Phew! Got a craggy top rather than the earlier smooth top but at least it's bread and not a brick.

No, not my first loaf by a looooooong count! Just had a bad bread weekend this weekend so this is the first loaf which has caused me anxiety!
Oh.. the butter... yes, won't lather it on too thick. Actually planning on giving it to a friend as a present but may now be tempted to eat it all up instead.

Bad bread weekends are sometimes due to the yeast, of course - but sometimes due to the flour.........:(
I'm feeling deprived as DH has a yeast allergy, so isn't eating bread at all. Seems a waste to make bread just for myself!
Hey! I've just remembered I've got some hot x buns in the fridge though

Thanks Squeaky but my Bad Bread Day was a mistake. I wasn't aiming to make yeast free bread. :wall: :wall:
New bread today is fab!

I think Squeaky was probably talking to me - what a brilliant idea! Now I'm off to sell the idea to DH
