Tent

I bought a tent of Ebay last year but have only had the opportunity to use this weekend for the first time. When erecting one of the tent poles broke, then over the weekend 5 more broke. The seller is no longer listed on Ebay do i have any rights to complain to Karrimore the makers of the tent?

Thanks

Julie

There might be someone on here who thinks differently, but I'm inclined to say no, probably not. Karrimore didn't sell you the tent, ebayer did. It's a bit of bad luck I'm afraid.

You could try contacting them directly but I would imagine that because you purchased via ebay and not an authorised outlet that they won't be able to help. It may even be sub-standard stock that shouldn't have been sold anyway. Can you purchase the poles for this tent as a separate item to remedy the problem?

Agreed. Poles are cheap. Just get replacements.
  • The tent now has holes in where the poles pierced it. ok thanks for your help and comments.

The manufacturer wouldn't touch this one with a (excuse the pun) large pole.

The seller, if you ever caught up with them, would probably argue (more than likely successfully) that you had plenty of time to inspect the item.

So I'm sorry, I think you'll just have to put this one down to experience.
