Im not happy with my pram

Options
Hi guys,

Shopped around, found pram for baby born in March, Mama's n Papa's (bought in the sale but still £200!!) Pliko Switch, baby now 5 months old, weighs approx. 15lbs, pram doesn't actually go that well anymore. Very very hard to push, like my baby is an elephant! Emailed M&P was just told to clean and lubricate the wheels and not use it as a shopping trolley!! Fine but it hasn't worked. It's great when my son isn't in it, but as he's only 5 months I'm left with the option of it getting worse or buying new. Is there anything I can do about it?

I think you'll have a tough time with this one I'm afraid. There's a possibility you could argue it's "not fit for purpose" if they say it will take children of a much greater weight than your child, but I've got to be honest I don't think you'll get very far.

i would suggest the urban detour if they still do it, not glamorous i know but i had a second hand (twin!) one for £75 and it really took a beating as i used to be on and off buses all the time (six journeys a day) with it but it stayed solid until i didn't need it anymore.

i would be inclined to contact them back saying that you had done what they told you to do and that you do not use the pram as a shopping trolley

i would again state that your baby is only 15lbs and that they describe that the pram can be used untill baby is 15kgs

    also state that they say

"The front swivel wheels and individual suspension make it easier to manoeuvre."

say that taking the above into consideration and the fact you regularly mantain clean and lubricate the wheels that you would like them to look into the matter for you and if need be they can take it in for inspection just to check for any defaults

worth a shot they can only say no :o

Just had to look in here when I saw the heading. I know kids are becoming computer-literate earlier & earlier but thought this takes the cake - baby complaining about his/her pram.

    Sorry ;-)
