  • Managed NSD number 5 today :)
    £10 a day: March - August: £1653.54/£1840; September £92.86/£300
NSD: April - August: 49 NSDs; September: 9/12
    101 in 1001 Project: 05/07/09 - 01/04/12 (8/101 completed)
  • Can I join, even though it's half way through the month? I think this will be really good for me. I'm not working at the moment, so most days around lunch time I pop out (really for a cigarette as I'm hoping my parents still haven't worked out that I started smoking again) and I go down to the shops and get some sort of snack, which is totally unnecessary.

There are 18 days from now (well, Friday 14th) until August 31st (which is when I'm going to run to) and I'm going to aim for 7 NSDs in this time. I'm not going to include standing orders/direct debits, but I will count everything else!!

It's really encouraging to read how everyone's doing. Hopefully I will have joined most of you with my first NSD tomorrow!
  • Woops - I also forgot to say that the costs of my therapy are not going to count as spends! Not that it matters at the moment as my therapist's away until the middle of September.

    Happy Friday everyone!

I have already chalked up 4 so really should set my sights higher next month.

I only include days where I have no S/Os or D/Ds coming off and since there are a dozen of them it does cut down my options.

I travel 90 miles a day to work so fuel has to be bought more frequently than I would like Just a thought, but perhaps you could only count it as a 'spend' if you succumb to the sweetie counter while paying for your fuel. If you only buy petrol that day, maybe it should be an NSD? so that cuts the available number down. Weekend shopping at Tesco is another blow to the number of days so I don't think I'll ever get above 10.

However you guys with high NSD targets really do inspire me!
I've only added my musings as a way of opening discussion folks. It may well be that some of us will be inspired to achieve glory, by reading of others game plans :p

I cannot emphasise enough, that what YOU class as an NSD is entirely your own decision. As long as you can make it work for you..well, that's all that matters.

The door is always open so no need to worry about if you can pledge :D --it's nice to meet new friends, whenever they appear....

I achieved my goal of 7 NSDs in July and am renewing for 7 in August.

My target this month is only 10 and I don't count S/Os and D/Ds. They have to come out and are not in my all the time consciousness so are not counted for me.

Petrol is a problem for me too, and before this month i didn't count it as i had to buy it to get to work! But am now attempting to just fill up once a week regardless of how much i have used, instead of waiting til it's nearly empty to fill up. obviously wouldn't work for you but maybe you could make it 2 set days a week or something?

Just thoughts I figured I'd put out there!

Almost failed at my NSD yesterday! that blooming husband of mine spent the money i left (didn't even tell him it was there so i was secretly hoping he wouldn't find it) on jack daniels, but then asked if i had a couple of quid change for coke! Hmm! I felt bad coz i did but I said no and in the end his sister bought him the coke!

hehe, what a mean wife I am! But he needs to learn I'm not an endless bank!! ;)

Argh!!! I had an interview this morning, and I realised that I didn't have enough money on my Oyster card to get back, so have had to spend today :(. I'm going to pop to the shops later on to get some shopping so hopefully I'll have an NSD tomorrow.
  • NSD number 7 for me today :D

I had a NSD yesterday up until about 8pm until I realised we had run out of milk and there is no way I'm drinking my coffee without it

NSD number 6 for me today!

It's working not taking my purse to work. I felt tempted to go to the shop today then remembered I couldn't as I didn't have my purse with me so saved my NSD there!
