Electric switch 2!!

Hi there,

I posted a thread yesterday which I have just realised is a bit wrong!! Basically I'm trying to buy a new house (new for me anyways, it was built late 70s early 80s) and it has one of those fuse boards where the wires are wrapped around the fuse, not a cartridge one which has a circuit breaker on.

I've been told this could show negatively in a homebuyers report so was wondering how much it should cost for a fuse board to be changed to a more modern one! The house is in the west ussex area, just in case that reflects in the price!!

If there are any electricians out there willing to give me a (competitive!!) quote then i'd really appreciate that! Any other advice is greatly welcomed too.

Thanks very much......
