On Sundayh I won two items from the same seller, one skirt, with £3.15 P+P for 1st class recorded, and one auction from the accessories category so no P+P charge.
I get an invoice from her shortly after, with £4.15 as the combined P+P, and wonder how £3.15 + 0p can equal that. So I email her and ask her to correct the mistake, saying I am happy for her to send them separately or together, but I'D prefer it if she didn't add postage costs on after an auction ends.
Yesterday I get an email from her to say sorry for the mistake, and she has changed the postage cost back and reissued an invoice. This has the original £3.15 listed as P+P, but she has changed the postage method to 2nd class parcel post _ NOT RECORDED. Should I just accept this, its kinda annoying me that she is trying to change the terms of the postage after the auction has ended. I'm not complaining at the cost, I was happy with that when I bid, based on the fact I thought it would be 1st Rec.
Both auctions (even the free P+P one) quoted 1st Rec as their postage method. Am I right to question this?

Was it originally going to be sent 1st or 2nd class recorded? If it was second class I would just accept it and marke her appropriatly in DSRs. If it was 1st i would want it sent 1st as that is what you have paid for
The recorded bit is for her protection only but there is the argument that in the listing she stated this and you bidded on it paying for the service. It all comes down to how much you want the item and what fuss you wish to cause.
Personally I would for a low value item take it and as i said mark her down on the DSRs0 -
i'd agree with cyberbob as its low value, but i would also check the original auction to make sure you are 100% correct that it was meant to be sent 1st rec before marking down the dsr'sEveryones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0

How about a polite email along the following lines
" Thank you for the revised invoice. I note that you mention using 2nd class parcels and wonder if this is an error as the original auction showed 1st class recorded, and i bid expecting 1st class post. I am happy if you decide against using recorded, as that does not affect me at all, however I would prefer 1st class post as originally stated. Thank you"

Thanks, I know its probably a lot of fuss over nothing, but checking back, both of the auctions stated 1st class recorded post, so I can't see any reason for her to change that now. As you say, not expensive items, I'm probably just more grouchy than usual due to being in swine flu quarantine

I'll use the email suggested above and see what happens when they arrive.0 -
I would just pay it. I have had postage for 2nd class recorded for items that should sell high so I want them tracked and then have bombed and sold for nothing near there value. So instead of sending a low value item recorded I have sent it 1st class standard instead.0

Yea, I think I'd understand if it were that way round, but this has gone fro being 1st class rec, to 2nd class parcel, at the same cost.0
