Defo worth trying these pillowcases. I think they are just as good as silk and easier to care for.

Do you find bamboo wears well? I have quite a lot of silk shirts (charity shop!) and they seem to wear out quite quickly.

    Hi Savvy_Sue

I purchased the bed set from this seller only a couple of weeks ago and been sleeping on them every since. No bobbles and bamboo feels lovely. It comes out quite heavy and stiff out of the machine, but when dry is light and silky. I love it. Tried the towels too and they are great. Best thing is I can wash the bedding and towels at the same time on 30c wash with a dash of white vinegar. However I'm tending to use the dryer as it takes a age for them to dry. This is the only downside- drying times. But I can live with that because bamboo is so comfortable.

Silk shirts- Friend gave me some very good quality Thai shirts and they are fine, but you are right the thinner silk shirts do not wear well. Also silk does not like the sun, so that could be a factor too.

Of course that's another 'issue' for me with silk: I hot wash all our bedding because DH has asthma and eczema and the cool wash doesn't kill the dust mites!

But I think I shall have to try some bamboo underwear to replace my silks which are all holey!!

    Sorry, off topic there ...

But bed bugs don't like nor live in silk and bamboo.

Have you tried any products from Patra silk?

We all have silk duvets although I'm currently using the ultimate hungarian down duvet from D&PW. It was such a good price I couldn't resist.

I always wash cotton bedding on 60c wash too.

    I'm obsessed with bedding btw.

One thing I have noticed with bamboo clothing is that it always appears to be like stretch cotton. There must be a market for work/formal shirts made out of the same bamboo they use for the bedding.

I would definitely recommend you try the pillowcases as they are a great price. They iron beautifully too.

I'd love to see the scientific evidence of this silk pillow millarky. Its a load of tosh to me!! Buy a cream with collagen in it when youre in youre early twenties, drink lots of water and job done!

Once you have wrinkles thats it, prevention is the answer here!
