difficult landlord

hi, I moved out of my rented housde on the 9th july. The lawyer acting for the LL inspected the house the following day and sent a letter on the 13th july requesting certain rooms be cleaned. I hired professional cleaners and attended to all of the items listed. I then asked for the lawyer to meet me there and if happy refund my deposit.
However the LL inspected the property instead and has given us a new and different list of things to clean, most are small petty things like sweetie wrappers in between sofa cushions. He has refused to allow us back in to clean his new items and is going to hire another set of proffessional cleaners at my expense.
My contract states "the tenant repair, cleanse, paint restore and make good within 4 weeks or such other period as the landlord may consider reasonable from the service of such notice". Does that mean the he has to give us 4 weeks after today's notification or can he just say 1 day is reasonable and hire cleaners after that?
We are in scotland, so don't have the deposit scheme. I am aware that I can take him to small claims court, which I am willing to do. However I feel that I need photos of the current state of the house to aid my case. I do still have keys to the house, but is it against the law to let myself in and take the photos when my rental agreement ended on the 9th, and if so can I insist the landlord lets me back in to phohgraph the house?

Any help with scottish law would be great , thanks
