tfr money to Nationwide

Hi,

My brothers mortgage is going out tomorrow from Nationwide Flex Account. Unfortunately due some problems he had to go to hospital today so could not able to fund the account.

Is there anyway to fund the account so the Mortgage goes out? Does Nationwide accepts faster payments?

Or if he pays the morning in the morning, will Nationwide authrise the DD to go through?

Thanks
MS

I've done Halifax to Nationwide transfer online and the money was there within mins. If that helps.

Although Nationwide accept Faster Payments, you will likely find at this time of night that they have settled with the Bank of England and any receipts will now be on tomorrow's date - so effectively the same thing as paying in cash tomorrow.

It depends on Nationwide's direct debit policy - whether they require you to have the funds there the day before or not, etc.

If worst comes to worst, could he not pay the mortgage tomorrow by a regular bank transfer, or a debit card payment?

Not to 07-01-16, which I believe the majority of their FlexAccounts are still on.

    Really? My bad.

I thought even Abbey was set up for receiving now.

V true! I found out the hard way (last week)!

My advice would be to pay CASH over the counter in a nationwide branch ASAP.

Bearing in mind we're fast approaching the second anniversary of the original planned launch date for FP's that's disgraceful.

Even 07-02-46 doesn't receive FP every time. I've never managed to send a FP from my 07-02-46 account to another bank.
