Looking for a set of new front tyres for two cars. The sizes are 215 55 16 zr for a 55 reg passat diesel and 205 55 16 r rating for a 54 diesel avensis.

Heard there are companies online that provide the tyres at a good price. Heard of blackcircle. Any other places. Looking for a good brand name. Based in huddersfield.
Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems :( Well at least i learn something on the way :D

use black circles and etyres for an idea of prices on the exact tyres you want and then get a local guy to beat the price, most will.

ebay is always a good place to start.
  • I always find www.blackcircles.co.uk to be cheapest with fitting included.
    my car takes 205/45 R17
    cheapest at etyres is £78.90
Cheapeast at Blackcircles is £55.38 (Thats £92 cheaper over 4 tyres)
For premium range i always us Pirelli PZero Nero
at etyres they are £116 each
at Blackcircles they only £104 (£48 over 4 tyres)

    Although saying this www.camskill.co.uk
can supply budgets for £39.22 each
and Pirelli PZero Nero for £92.50 each
But this is only delivered, you will have to take them and get them fitted
which still works out cheaper than both of the above hence why i will use Camskill when my next 4 need changing :)
    2007 Comping challenge -> £00.00 <-Typical luck!:mad:

Anyone interested in getting a 5% discount wth Blackcircles can use the code EDRED21 on the checkout page where the voucher code box is. My girlfriend works for the NHS and it was on their discount website - we used it tonight and it worked a treat, unlike the ones on Myvouchercodes etc.....
  • tyres are expensive aren't they! I inherited michelin's on mine so it's going to costs near £500 to replace all four - i think i'll look into part worn tyres.

Or try Lassa Tyres re-badged Bridgestones for a lot less money!

So you save a couple of hundred quid buying cheap tyres - how much excess if you hit something due to poor tyre grip?

Buy some decent 'mid range' tyres - I just paid £145 for a pair of 205/45/16 Uniroyal Rainsport 2s.

4 small bits of rubber is all that keeps you on the road and the weather is getting worse
