Halifax Credit Card

hi

does anybody know if you can do a balance transer to you bank account clearing your overdraft with the halifax credit card tried to call them but they are closed

Mish is right, you can't. Thats what the "Credit Card Cheques" that the Halifax send are for. Pay one of those into your bank account for the amount you need to clear, and the debt will disappear from you bank and go onto the credit card

Read the small print though, my halifax cheques were charged at cash rate for doing that!

Yes, Halifax periodically issues credit card cheques, which can be paid directly into your current account. Unfortunately, the cheques cannot be ordered and you never know when the next ones will turn up in the post.

Caution: as above, check Ts & Cs carefully, as these vary with each promotion.
