I rent a flat and park on the private shared parking area which is maintained by a private company who maintain the flats. My car was parked alongside a 8foot hedge with no room between the hedge and the car (wouldn't be able to open the door that side, as the parking space is so small and to allow others room to move of the driveway). The maintenance company have decided to trim the hedge alongside the car causing alot of scratches and marks to the car. I am wanting to know what action if any I can take against the company
Many Thanks

Just need to clarify ... you have evidence that the damage was caused by those trimming the hedge?Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0

No evidence in form of picture or video but theres a cctv camera that I am going to try and get the video of. Just lots of little branches stuck to the car, hedge trimings all down it and the scratches.I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something0

Have you tried washing the car and polishing out the scratches?0

No, but theres only a couple that wouldn't T-Cut out. I wasn't expecting a respray just something towards the cost of getting them out. What sort of idiot would trim a hedge inches from a car, so close you couldn't stand up without the hedge against you, can't be safe either.I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something0

I have never liked T-cut! I've got a couple of thorny plants adjacent to my driveway and occasionally the car gets scratched by them and I use Mer polish, which works for me. There is the JML scratch remover too and also the mobile scratch and dent people as options. I suspect you will get nowhere with the maintenance co., but do give it a try.0

it will depend if you were meant to be parking there i suppose, but you should put something in writing to them ASAP as you cant leave it for a few weeks.
Just explain that whilst there maintence crew were trimming the hedges they have dmaged your car and explain the damage caused and provide photosEveryones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -
I have heard that the JML scratch remover is crap they just import rubbish mostly does JML
A far better product and cheaper is Meguiars scratch remover X 2.0 at £8.99 at Halfords cheaper by £1 than JML product.
Its only good though for small scratches. I used this last weeks on my ford focus metallic carI have never liked T-cut! megs is a good product and will remve small swirl marks and light scratchs, if you run you nail across the scratch and it catches then it wont remove it, you'll be best to get it mopped by a pro detailerEveryones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0
