I've ventured away from the DFW board before and slap me if you disagree, but other folks on the MSE forums are nasty :( They're inconsiderate, rude, hostile and don't really care. DFW is such a nice friendly place (even when Tootsie Roll is annoying The Loan Ranger) and I don't get why everyone else at this place isn't.

Is it just me or do you guys think the same too?

I partially agree Amosworks - some of the forums (usually associated with hardship) are more tolerant than others. The ones that get up my nose are the ones that look down on people in debt. OK, some people are good money managers and can't understand how people sink under but a few minutes reading the threads here would show them that for many its a case of ill fortune that tips people over the edge, ill health, redundancy etc.

I can't claim any of that, but I know that I'm not judged by the DFWs. By this time next week I'll be totally debt free but i'll never forget what it was like and would never put anyone down because of their debt.

Absolutely, you've hit the nail on the head, other DFW's don't actually judge people for being in debt (but judging for being obesse is another matter  ) which is why I think DFW is a lot more friendly.

Why kick someone when they're already down? There's no point, so we don't :)
