I'd wait until November. You stand to lose almost 4 months at 0% if you take up Barclaycard's offer now.

First thing you need to do is contact all your credit providers and explain your current situation. They should be able to offer some sort of help until your find yourself a new job (reduce payments, token payments....)

No, no, no! This is not good advice.

You only need to contact the Providers if you are having problems making the Minimum Payments. Any "arrangements to pay" will damage your credit rating and your deals are already on 0% interest, so they are not going to help you any further.

Basically, keep making the Minimum Payments to all the cards ontime and take the funds from the £5000 redundancy pay if necessary.

Make sure you know when the 0% deals finish and get another card in place to transfer the debt to before each deal finishes. Provided you have a good repayment history, your Credit Rating should be good and you have a fair chance of getting replacement cards. If necessary can you have your partner apply for the cards and move the debt over when the time arises.

Whilst managing the debt efficiently in this manner, look for another job. You will get one. A friend of mine was in this position, he got £10000 redundancy and got another job within weeks. He ended up nearly £10000 better off, this could happen with you.

I think you are panicking to a certain extent when it is not necessary, just go on managing the debt efficiently as you have been doing, and at keep that £5000 in an interest bearing account, only dipping into it when really necessary.

    Good Luck.

NickX is right. Don't contact them... after all, you are not having problems yet, are you?

Whilst you have the 0% deals, just pay the minimums. Surely on an overall balance of £5000, they cannot total more than £125 a month? You get many months out of your £5000 on that basis, though of course the 0% deals will run out before then.

You've got plenty of time. If you can pay off MBNA when the deal expires, they will probably make you a further offer.

Nothing else to add... good luck.
